PTFE Components
Polytetrafluoroethylene, more commonly known as PTFE, is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene. The strong carbon-flourine bonds formed in the PTFE make it resistant to high temperature and corrosive chemicals. It offers an operational temperature range of -30°C to 250°C. PTFE also has non-stick properties among its various advantages.
ADVANTAGES OF PTFE
These diverse aspects of PTFE make it a highly desirable material for many applications. PTFE products are commonly used in petrochemicals, textiles, paper & pulp, chemicals, power plants and other industries. These industries use PTFE to manage media like solvents, reactive and corrosive chemicals, and mineral oils. PTFE is also used in Heat exchanger applications. For instance, Oleum or fuming sulfuric acid production uses O Ring PTFE to cover the entrance neck of gaskets.
PHE Sealing Solutions supplies PTFE components for most industrial application. We offer different grades of PTFE which are mechanically enhanced to provide specific properties to the product. These include Glass- filled PTFE, Carbon-filled PTFE, Graphite filled PTFE and Bronze filled PTFE. All the products mentioned below are available in different grades of PTFE mentioned above. We stock the following PTFEs in our inventory-
