APPLICATIONS FOR REFRIGERATION/AMMONIA INDUSTRY

Engineer,Checking,Condenser,Water,Pump,And,Pressure,Gauge,,,Chiller

Plate heat exchangers and brazed plate heat exchangers are an indispensable part of the refrigeration process. BPHE in particular are used in industrial refrigeration where heat exchange takes place between high pressure fluids. Other than BPHE, refrigeration industry highly relies on semi-welded heat exchanger plates for refrigeration systems like evaporators and condensers. The low viscosity of fluids in refrigeration are ideal for PHE applications and so are used for processes like-

  • Evaporation

  • Condensation

  • Cascade/Capacitor Evaporators

  • Sub coolers

  • Intercoolers

  • Economizers

  • Ammonia Glycol Recycling

Gaskets used for Semi-Welded Plates are of two types: Field gaskets and Ring gaskets. Ring gaskets are used at the circular portholes of the semi-welded gaskets as they are in contact with the refrigerant. For this reason, ring gaskets are made from specialized elastomers. On the other hand, traditional field gaskets seal the medium between the two semi-welded plates.
